What I actually do
Most of what helps a local business show up on Google isn’t mysterious. It’s a handful of things done properly, then kept up.
- Fix the website basics. Page titles, headings, speed, the mobile layout, broken links, and pages that compete with each other. Google has to understand your site before it will rank it.
- Build pages for what you sell and where you work. One solid page for each service beats ten thin ones with the town name swapped out.
- Get your Google Business Profile in shape. The right categories, real photos, your services listed, and an easy way to ask happy customers for reviews. (More on that here.)
- Clean up your listings. Your name, address and phone number should match everywhere: Google, Bing, Apple Maps, Yelp and the local directories.
- Track what matters. You’ll see which searches bring people to your site and whether they’re calling. Not just a ranking chart.
What I won't do
- I won’t promise you the number one spot. Nobody controls that, and anyone who promises it is guessing.
- I won’t buy cheap links or stuff your pages with keywords. That goes against Google’s own guidelines, and you’d be the one paying to clean it up.
- I won’t send you a 40-page report full of jargon. You’ll get a short list of what I changed and what it did.
How it works
- Free audit. I look at your website, your Google profile, and who’s showing up ahead of you. You get a plain-English summary whether you hire me or not.
- Fix the foundation. The first month usually goes to technical cleanup and your Google profile.
- Build from there. Then it’s adding useful pages, getting reviews and earning links from other local sites, month by month.
- Monthly check-in. Once a month I send you what changed and what the numbers say.
To be straight with you: local SEO usually takes three to six months to show real movement. Google profile fixes can pay off sooner.
